Year-End Giving Program
There aren’t many non-profits with an explicit radical analysis and revolutionary agenda. Fertile Ground Institute has been working on-the-ground and training leaders in the deep ecology and social justice movements for nearly a decade. In that time, we have operated almost entirely as a self-funded organization.
However, it’s time for us to expand. In 2017 we plan to bring our first paid staff members on board—including a grant writer and longtime board member Max Wilbert. We’ll also continue our support for forest protection work across the intermountain West, for indigenous resistance campaigns in Canada, and for grassroots ecology programs in California. Other significant projects we’ve been involved in include the translation of the Earth at Risk talks from 2014 into French and their publication in a book titled Ecologie en résistance: Strategies pour uno terre en peril (Vol. 1). We’re also in discussions with friends in the UK about hosting an Earth at Risk conference there in 2017. We need your help to make these projects possible. Can you make a year-end gift? Re-route your money from funding the latest U.S.-backed war and the $3.8 billion military aid package to Israel, and instead fund a grassroots resistance group! Your donations are tax-deductible! We will provide a receipt for each donation of more than $250. Donations by Mail

Become a Sustaining Donor
Our Monthly Giving Program
Part of sustaining resistance movements is material support. All social movements through history have needed people to stay in their jobs, working hard and donating their funds to the movement.
This isn't a cop-out; it's a serious, necessary way to support changemakers. We cannot do the work we do without your help. For this reason, we're looking for donors willing to give on a regular monthly basis to support Fertile Ground Institute. Can you become a sustaining donor? We'll provide you with a receipt for tax time, and sign you up for our infrequent newsletter so you know how your funds are being used. |
